Osoberry

Here on south end of Vancouver Island it won't be long
till the tree fairies will be seen dancing amongst
the other forest dwellers as you hike along the trails.
Osoberry blossoms, sometimes called Bird Cherry, are a
wonderful thing to "look forward" to, as they are one
of the earliest trees to blossom in our area.
Usually sometime in February.
Seen dancing against the dark screen of trees
they really do seem to come alive.
Sometime in August the tasty berries can be enjoyed
by those who know of them!
Oil on canvas 24 x 30

Jeffrey, that is a lovely painting!

Living in Winnipeg I often envy you "west-coasters", being able to see blossoms so early in the year!
