Wilderness -- Networks of Relationship

Between work obligations and a bit of an illness last week, I've been losing time for drawing.  I'm sorry I missed out on "repair."  Here, at least, is some work appropriate to "wilderness."  For me, wilderness is less about beauty or danger, the pristine or the sublime, than it is about an organic network of relationships.  The whole is definitely greater than the sum of the parts.

Oh, you're wicked!!! But yeah, this is nature.

An old art teacher of mine once recounted how he sat by the lake near his cottage one peaceful morning. He watched a frog, jumping very high. A snake slithered up to it, and caught it. Within 3 seconds, a bird flew down and captured the snake.
